Background

Lotfy graduated at Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt. He awarded his Ph.D. degree from Zagazig University, Egypt which he performed part of it at University of Leeds, UK. In 2016 he was awarded a post-doctoral research fellowship at Wolfson Centre for Stem Cells, Tissue Engineering and Modelling (STEM), University of Nottingham, UK. He worked at several research centers before joining PSAS, Beni-Suef University, such as Medical Experimental Research Center [MERC], Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt and Center of Excellence for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine (CESC), Zewail City of Science and Technology, Egypt.

Research interest 

He is interested in:
1- Stem cell research and its applications in regenerative medicine. 
2- Neurodegenerative diseases especially Multiple Sclerosis.
