A visit of the Green University Selection committee

Today, Wednesday, 7/6/2023, the College of Graduate Studies for Advanced Sciences was honored to visit the “Choosing the Green University” committee. They were received by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ali Farghali, Dean of the College, and the Vice Deans, Prof. Dr. Sama Al-Daq, Vice Dean for Environmental Service and Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Walaa Mosaihli The Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research and a group of faculty members in the college and Mrs. Doaa Abdel-Gawad, the director of the college, and they were accompanied by Prof. Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the committee was formed by Dr. Hind Farouh, Professor of Environment and Sustainable Urban Development at the Housing and Building Research Center as Chairman, and the membership of Dr. Tariq Mahmoud Attia, Professor of Construction Engineering and Project Management at the Housing and Building Research Center, Dr. Muhammad Nabil Abdel Majeed, full-time head of research at the Agricultural Research Center, and Engineer Samah Saleh Abdel Shafi, Director General and responsible for sustainable development in the Office of the Minister of Environment, and Eng. Amjad Mohammed Al-Huwaihi, New Energy Authority
and Engineer Ehab Mohamed Farouk at the New and Renewable Energy Authority. The committee visited the Nanotechnology Center of Excellence, the Cement Factory, the Environment Laboratory, the Water Excellence Center and the Electron Microscopy Unit. The committee also listened to a detailed explanation by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ali, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Sama Al-Daq, Vice Dean of the Faculty. Dr. Asmaa Hamouda, Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences and Industrial Development, on research capabilities and laboratories that serve the environment and society, how to link research to industry, and the support provided by the college for the state’s efforts related to the environment, its preservation, sustainability, and the realization of Egypt’s Vision 2030. The committee praised the impressive level and efforts it made in this regard
